svo-hljott: ohhaiguise: epicwinsauce: svo-hljott: everything but most specifically for this post ~LANGUAGES.~ For example, take the letters “alla.” I’m not saying it’s a word, it’s just an example of jumbled letters that work well for my point. Alla, pronounced in… ‘alla’ means all and everybody/everyone in Swedish, so yes it is a word =)

Merry Green Christmas
There’s absolutely no snow outside. For a Swede that means a lot. Christmas is supposed to be white, not like any other day in April. Oh well, it’s still gonna be a nice evening, I’ll be celebrating with my family at my sisters house, eating lots and lots of vegetarian holiday food (that I cooked). No Christmas ham for me. This is usually how we celebrate Christmas: - meet...

I'm allergic to vegetarian food
thomasinberlin: I’m sorry but a salad is not a meal and eating cheese is not sexy. It taste like feet and you’ll get cooties. Going to bed hungry because my friends are weird.  I would also state that salad isn’t a meal and would be really cranky if that is all people would give me for dinner, but vegetarian food is sooo much more than just salad. You just have to know what to cook =)

anywherebutsweden: epicwinsauce: I was having trouble saying the Swedish word själv until it dawned on me that it totally sounds like the English word “self.” then I looked it up and it turns out that that’s what it means, too. Almost. ‘Själv’ should be pronounced like this: ɧɛ:lv,… Oh I forgot, ‘sk’ isn’t always pronounced like ‘ɧ’, it depends on the...

Almost. ‘Själv’ should be pronounced like this: ɧɛ:lv, so the ‘s’ is not the same as in English. I don’t even think English have this sound ‘ɧ’....

Let there be light
Bought a couple of second hand stuff today. This lamp was one of those things. My kitchen is now ridiculous cozy. These two chairs are btw very typical Swedish design. Just like the blue dalecarlian horse in the background.

The holiday begins: now!
I’m done. I’m finally done with school for this year. It has been so much to do this semester, that I haven’t gotten the time to take time for my hobbies. But now I’m back (for the moment) and the first thing I did, was to take pictures. I’ve missed it.

Me and ginger biscuit pastry
Me and my relationship with ginger biscuit pastry: Me: you can never have too much ginger biscuit pastry! [5 minutes later] Me: gaah, too much ginger biscuit pastry, my tummy hurts! [tummy aches for 2 hours, I feel sick and promise myself to never eat ginger biscuit pastry again] [the next day] Me: mmm, ginger biscuit pastry, yummy! Repeat and fail again…
